- Download Faro Caliper 3D from ftp://ftp.kinematics.com/pub/SA/Install/Driver%20Downloads/PCMM%20Arms/FARO/Serial%20Arms/ - Faro Serial Arms. Get the latest version, or contact Faro for the version appropriate for your arm.
- Run Caliper 3D to set arm serial parameters.
- The default settings shown upon starting the
interface are 115200 baud, 7 data bits, 1 stop bit and even parity.
- If there is any trouble with communication, run Caliper3D again, and lower the arm's baud rate.
Valid baud rates for the arm are:
19200, 38400, 57600, and 115200
Then, run the interface again, making certain to match the settings made in Caliper 3D.
