Initial Setup for Romer Arms
1) Download the Romer Europe dll install zip, RomerEurope.zip, from ftp://ftp.kinematics.com/pub/SA/Install/Driver%20Downloads/PCMM%20Arms/Romer%20Europe/
Then, unzip into your current SA install folder. (See RomerEurope\Readme.txt in your SA install folder for more information.)
2) Run the arm data install from the floppy disk included with your arm.
This will do the following:
a) Creates a directory, C:\ARM\Armdata. In this directory, the arm configuration file, armspecs.gds, will be written.
b) Creates a directory, C:\ARM\Probes. In this directory, the probe definitions, probe1.gds, etc., will be written.
c) Writes information regarding the arm to the registry.
You may immediately attempt connection to the arm at this point. If the arm will not connect, follow the instructions in 'Romer EU Arm Configuration with Romosoft.doc' (if you have performed steps 1 and 2 above, you may ignore them in the doc) found in
ftp://ftp.kinematics.com/pub/SA/Install/Driver%20Downloads/PCMM%20Arms/Romer%20Europe/
If you do not already have Romosoft, see 'Romer Europe - downloading Romosoft V2.doc' at this same location.
